The April Aire E080 Dehumidifier delivers powerful, professional-grade humidity control for whole-home applications, basements, and crawl spaces. The E080 works by drawing incoming air across an evaporator coil, lowering the air temperature below its dew point to extract excess moisture. The collected moisture is automatically drained to a floor or waste drain—eliminating the need for manual emptying. The air is then reheated as it passes over the condenser coil before being returned to the space.
The unit operates until the desired humidity set point is reached, then shuts off and periodically samples the air to determine when additional dehumidification is needed. This intelligent cycling ensures efficient performance without unnecessary energy use.
